What is The GBS

The Government Boiler Scheme (GBS) initiative was set up early in 2014 to raise awareness of the non-renewable energy price rises set to happen over the proceeding 10 years. Did you know that since 2004 energy prices within the UK have risen by up to 150%? On reflection and putting that in to monitory terms this means an average bill of £565.00 in 2005 is now on average over £1300.00! That's over double! (Government Statistics Here)

Did you also know that surveys done back in 2004 where people were asked what they thought of a potential rise in energy prices more than 90% thought that energy would increase by as little as 10% over the next 10 years and in nearly all cases people when asked hypothetically couldn't even comprehend that prices could go up by a third let alone the reality of over 150%.

Without this information we assume you would probably have similar opinions over the next 10 years but given these statistics what would your opinion be now? A question to ask yourself is, are you willing to pay more than £1000.00 per year on just your gas bill?! If the answer is no then you need to look for a more efficent method of heating your home and a relpacement A rated boiler is a real world solution to this problem.
